Video Tester

Try to build a Video Tester using all Arduino parts. Would like to end up building one that read all or almost all HD signal, HD-SDI, DVI, HDMI, RGBHV. I would need to have both a Input and Output, I think it can be done but i would like to make sure before taking the leap. coding is the more challenging part no so much the hard ware.....

Was thinking of using the Arduino Intel Galileo (as the mother board )

The trick is adding a bread board with other processor that would take in multi ethernet cables as inputs. (hoping a half size beard board would help with this)

Plan to use multiply Arbuino uno3 or the Arbuino Mega 2560, each board would hold one of the input/output mention above.

Then a 2.2 TFT touch shield to view and select I/O. the end goal is having mutli input at different resolution to check cables on the fly, testing using color cards.

would love some input, if am wasting my time or possible a better way.

Lotsa luck.

Not sure what Adruinox have to do with it.

While there are some cute little "demo" projects, the terms "Arduino" and "video" have little overlap.

I would say you are wasting your time.

While the processor is fast the I/O speed is crap, much slower than a normal Arduino Uno running at only 16MHz.

You need hardware interfaces. For sdi video begin searching for sdi cable equalizer.
