VNH2SP30 5v pin

Hi everyone,

I just bought a VNH2SP30 single channel module, it's work great !!
Without attach the VNH 5v pin to my UNO 5v pin it's work well too.

So i would like to know if it's safe to dont attach this 5v pin to my UNO ?
I would like to know as well if i can use this VNH 5v pin to power supply a small servo motor (sg90) ?

Thanks in advance for answer

There are many different VNH2SP30 modules. Which one do you have? And how are you powering it?

I bought this one :

i power it with 7.4 volts
thks

Without seeing the schematic, it's hard to give an exact answer. 5V likely provides a pullup for the enable/dignostic pins. If you've wired them to Arduino pins or to 5V then there's no problem. Those pins are normally inputs unless the VNH2SP30 drives them low in a fault condition.

Thanks very much

Hi,
Your drive is this one. look at the link it has manual for the driver, including code and connection details.

The 5V on the driver will be to power the digital control circuitry on the driver, so 5V from the arduino should be enough.

The UNO 5V pin will not be able to supply enough current for a servo, you need a separate supply for it.

Thks for your ansewr.

My question was : can i use de 5v module's pin, as an external power supply ?
is it a 5v input, output or both ?

It is an input to the module.
