Void vs return with arguments issue with function

I think "C so Small" is a reference to C Programming language being a small book. Well, at least that is what I took from the post. All the other book titles were italicized.

Back in the '70s, when I first used C, I found the books by Charles Petzold to be especially good. He starts simple, and each chapter builds on what is learned in preceding chapters, making them very easy yo read and follow. He has books on both C and C++. K&R is also excellent, but the Petzold books are easier reads if you're just starting out. But expect to spend quite a bit of time learning the language, as it is NOT trivial. Far too many people seem to think they can learn the language in just a few hours. The reality, becoming really fluent, especially with C++, takes years.

Sry,

By which I meant that C is a tiny language, compared to others and especially to others that are traditional used with massive standard libraries.

The only book I was talking about is The C Programming Language by Kernighan and Ritchie.

I remember looking at some 3.5 inch modern language textbook, cruised through chapters 1, 2 and maybe 3 and all of C equivalent features had been covered; the rest of the book ) 3.125 inches, a dozen or two chapters, was all highly application specific detailing of how to use the rest of the language.

But C So Small would be a nice title for a little book.

Thank you. I am going to get a copy. I started learning Turbo C a long time ago at work, but my workload changed and I no longer had the time. Retired now so lots of time.
