I have a sears 82418 vom that I have had for years and it works great, except that at some point a few years ago it seems the polarity indicator does not work -- the "-" minus sign does not show if I put the negative lead on the positive wire.
I am not sure if it was damaged, or if there is something else wrong. I am posting on the off chance that someone has a thought as to why, since I can see no visible issue with the lcd and it functions perfectly for ac/dc voltage and resistance other than it not showing me the polarity for dc voltage.
