Ex is possibly short hand for example. This is an explanation of voltage dividers. Vin is the input voltage Vout is the output voltage to which Vin must be converted into. In the example Vin is 5V and it is converted into Vout 2.5V.

By the way. Good try. The file is 1.4 Mbytes. It is possible to reduce the file size using this program call IrfanView. Here the site : http://www.irfanview.com/. I use this program when I plan to send big files. Example : Picture taken from a digital camera. Or scan documents / pictures. I am new at that software, so, I only use to reduce my files and send it on-line.
