And you still haven't said what regulator you're using. There are loads of 5V regulators.But if the recommended values are half of X and a tenth of X why would you even imagine that using 100 times X instead is going to work? 100nF and 100 uF capacitors have very different purposes and characteristics. Get the correct values.
