W5500 Ethernet module crashing?

Hi

I have ground problem in my workshop, and I often get static choc when I touch something. Quite often when I touch one of my Arduino, or a part link to it, I lose the ethernet connection with the Arduino. I know the card still runs because I'm still seeing the LED connected to it flashing.
I suspect the ethernet module might crash if there is a electric peak. Is it possible? How can I troubleshoot this?

I use ESP32, W5500 Ethernet Network Modules TCP/IP 51/STM32 SPI Interface, MPR121 Breakout V12 Capacitive Touch Sensor Controller Module, LSM6DSO spark fun sensor.

it resets and is not in sync with the library anymore

thanks for the input, how can we solve this? Should I switch to another board more robust? or reset the whole code once in a while to sync everything together again?

by the way, I just tried and I can't connect with serial port either when I lose connection
