W5500 vs W5100 Ethernet Modules

Hi all

These days, you can buy a W5500 Ethernet module for 3.5$, inc. shipping.
(on eBay)

I ordered one, and it's on its way,
and I am curious to ask something.

I read some time ago that people who experienced with both (W5500 and W5100) say that programming with the W5500 is more comfortable.

I am curious to ask:
Should developing using both, be the same?
Because in both cases we use a Library for Arduino that does the work,
so how come people say the W5500 is nicer to use?

Thank you

I use the Ethernet library for both.

so how come people say the W5500 is nicer to use?

Might be a personal preference. As you didn't provide links to these opinions it's hard to tell.

Should developing using both, be the same?

Programming is almost the same but the W5500 has twice the number of open sockets (8) compared to the W5100 (4) which might be a relevant advantage for some network applications.
