Want to mod my Tiger Henry...

Hi, I'm pretty much a noob to arduino but I have light experience with max and more with Reaktor/live/etc...

I have this sound memory game... Essentially its a matrix of buttons that illuminate (ring any bells? :D). What I really want to do is interface it to the computer using an arduino board. The first problem I see is the limit of digital io. I speculate that I would need 16 discrete digital ins and 16 digital outs. Like I said i'm new to this so excuse the ignorance...

Actually, the odds are pretty good that it's already wired as a 2x8 or 4x4 matrix, to avoid the need for a gazillion pins on the microprocessor that's running it now.

If you can't find info on its internals via google, it'll be time to pop the hood and figure out what's underneath it.

Take a look at my solution to this problem, admittedly using all my own parts but you should be able to use the existing switches and lights.
