I think you are asking about components required to try out examples provided with Arduino IDE. The list of components will be long. so roughly the following component list will be adequate for most of the examples.
Arduino board (uno, mega, etc)
USB Cable
9V power supply
bread board
5v buzzer
small speaker
several LED s and resistors (220 ohms)
several transistors (e.g 2N2222)
push button switches
ultrasonic sensor module
LCD keypad shield
Photo resistor
LM35 a temperature sensor
Adjustable resistor
Infrared (IR) receiver
IR remote control
7-segment LED display
8x8 LED Matrix
For advanced examples you will need
SD Card Module
Ethernet Shield
5V Relay extension board
Stepper Motor Drive Controller Board Module

Rather than buy individual components you might consider getting a kit.
I think they are a good way to start as you know everything 'should' work which is more than half the battle.
