warning when attempting to compile

So I just downloaded 1.8.3 and whenever i compile i get the following message......

Warning: platform.txt from core 'Arduino AVR Boards' contains deprecated recipe.preproc.macros=" {compiler.path} {compiler.cpp.cmd.}" {compiler.ccp.flags} {preproc.macros.flags} -mmcu={build.mcu} -DF_CPU={build.f_cpu} -DARDUINO={runtime.ide version} etc, etc, etc,,,,

Any ideas?

Do this:

  • Tools > Board > Boards Manager
  • Wait for downloads to finish.
  • Click on Arduino AVR Boards
  • Click "Update"
  • Wait for update to finish
  • Click "Close"
