water proof ultrasonic sensors

Hi i'm trying to build a water level indicator for my motor home. I require 2 waterproof sensors with a transmitter and receiver on both as they will be close to the water. I saw these on ebay (see pic) and wondered if they would fit the bill. My idea was to replace them with the non waterproof ones on my HC-SR04 unit. can anyone tell me if this is a viable option will it work?. Thanks

Most likely it may work. Lots of 'depends on' going on. Such as how do the sensors compare with specs?

Thanks for the input the only specs I can find are these.

Output way: Analog Sensor
Sensor Type: Position Sensor
Diameter: 16MM

Product Introduction:

  1. The nominal frequency (KHz): 40 KHz
  2. The emission sound pressure at10V (0dB = 0.02mPa): ≥110dB
  3. Receive sensitivity at40KHz (0dB = V / ubar): ≥-75dB
  4. An electrostatic capacitance at1KHz, <1v pf="" :="" 1800="" 30="" div="">

If you solder those transducers to a HRC04 module and stick the moudule into a tank of water, the water will eat the module. Not waterproof.

See how this sensor is mounted remote from the module?
