hi there so i wanting to automaite water testing on my aquarium and i woundering best way to moniter color the water will change to i got the machanical sortded out and all that it just detecting what the color of the water is i needing help with
Your eye, comparing sample color with test strips, is generally more reliable than anything you can build using hobby-module color sensors.
Those present major difficulties due to the requirement for careful light source selection, stable instrument housing and sensor calibration.
However, if you want to try, it will be an excellent learning experience.
i understand the complexaties involved but this will be what i am caling a guid line tester i will bedoing manuel testing every week or so unless this system says something is out of set peramiters and each test tube will be in its own blacked out box with a pure white light underneeth to light the sample up
Have fun!
A xeneon lamp is the only source of such light that I know of.
Start by looking at the example sketches for a library that is used for color detection using an arduino color sensor like the TCS3200 or TCS230.
