Please take a few minutes to read through the "How to use this forum" post, and then follow the directions and revise your post.
For help, you need to explain exactly what you did, what you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
Hi thanks. What I'm doing is making a water meter for my motor home that reads the fresh and grey water using ultrasonic sensors I have a working prototype using two hc-sr04 I need to replace them with waterproof versions as water contact with the sensors is unavoidable as the vehicle moves. I was hoping the replacement ( linked above ) would be a direct replacement ( no such luck ). When I hooked them up I got no reading at all and have no idea where to go to get them to work. I purchased the plwm version. Hope that cover s it. Thanks in advance for any input.
I am sure you saw this before you ordered them: " Current: Peak:60mA". How do you have them wired? You cannot connect them directly to an Arduino pin.

Thanks in advance for any input.
We will be happy provide input after you have read and followed the directions in the "How to use this forum" post.

Hi thanks for the reply. No it's got its own power from a separate source.
Its never a good idea to spend money on a product without documentation.

Ok, that is good if all your grounds are connected together.
Now, which version of the device did you buy? The PWM or the UART version?
The device has 4 wires. How do you have them connected?

Hi I purchaced the pwm version. After a bit of digging around i found out the yellow pin is the trigger white is the echo vcc red ground black. I have managed to get it working now all it was is that the waterproof sensor dont like the MAX_DISTANCE setting to be less than 200 where the HC-SR04 isn't that fussy. as soon as i changed that setting it worked fine.

Glad to see that! Can you add the word -SOLVED- to the title of your thread, so others will see you solution?
Enjoy!
