waterproof

does anyone know of a spray that can make my project semi waterproof, not trying to submerge my project just from pesky neighbors who's sprinklers dont quite face their grass

your project seems to be mounted outside, so you should not seal it watertight because of condensation. Why not just cover it with a case?

hmm plexy glass

it will be partially for outdoor use but not permanently stationed there

You can get special solder-through conformal PCB coating that covers the PCB and components with a thin transparent layer. This can assist in reducing corrosion of the PCB and associated connections. It's not waterproof, but it is good for damp environments. It comes in a spray can like paint does.

The real stuff smells exactly like nail polish. An old electrical engineer let me know that it is nail polish and that's what he used to use back in the day. So a few bucks worth of clear nail polish will coat many PCBs. It even comes with a little tiny brush to apply it. That's what I use now.

It's also useful as a glue to help hold the heavier components on the board. I always make sure that there's lots of it underneath the larger-size capacitors and power resistors.

I have used this in the past with good success:

A little late to the game, but I was browsing and thought I would reply. I have used Diamond-MT's Conformal Coating in the past with great success

Great source of information about conformal coating on their website as well if your just looking for information on it and still deciding what to use.

Just don't spray it on connectors you may need to use again.
