Wav trigger question

Hi everyone,

I have the arduino uno now for a year but didn't do something with it. I now have bought the Wav trigger. I only don't understand how to setup a serial connection with it because I never did anything with the serial port. There's a complete user guide that explains how to communicate but I need a little help with the beginning of the script.

I hope someone can help me.
