Hello,
I'm all new in this arduino/e-paper stuff and a bit lost here.
I have a 7.5" b/w/r waveshare display and had it working with NodeMCU ESP8266. I am facing 2 issues and need your help on that.
- I am not able to load red color on the display. Here's the code I am using,
#include <SPI.h>
#include "epd7in5_V2.h"
#include "canada.h"
void setup() {
// put your setup code here, to run once:
Serial.begin(115200);
Epd epd;
Serial.print("e-Paper init \r\n ");
if (epd.Init() != 0) {
Serial.print("e-Paper init failed\r\n ");
return;
}
Serial.print("e-Paper Display\r\n ");
epd.Displaypart(gImage_canada,0,0,600,300);
Serial.print("e-Paper Clear\r\n ");
epd.Clear();
epd.Sleep();
}
I also tried using GxEPD library, but it didn't work. Program compiled without any error but didn't get anything on the display
#define ENABLE_GxEPD2_GFX 0
#include <GxEPD2_BW.h>
#include <GxEPD2_3C.h>
#include "data.h"
#include "canada.h"
GxEPD2_3C<GxEPD2_154c, GxEPD2_154c::HEIGHT> display(GxEPD2_154c(/*CS=D8*/ SS, /*DC=D3*/ 0, /*RST=D4*/ 2, /*BUSY=D2*/ 4));
void setup() {
// put your setup code here, to run once:
Serial.begin(115200);
Serial.println();
Serial.println("setup");
delay(100);
display.init(115200);
display.fillScreen(GxEPD_WHITE);
display.setFullWindow();
drawBitmaps();
display.display(false);
}
void loop() {
// put your main code here, to run repeatedly:
}
void drawBitmaps()
{
//display.drawInvertedBitmap(0, 0, IMAGE_BLACK, 200, 200, GxEPD_BLACK); // data.h
//display.drawInvertedBitmap(0, 0, IMAGE_RED, 200, 200, GxEPD_RED); // data.h
display.drawBitmap(0, 0, gImage_canada, 600, 300, GxEPD_RED); // canada
}
- Every time the image is created on the display, it goes into a loop and starts refreshing then creating again, until I remove the cable from my laptop
I have connected my display like this-
And I have used Image2LCD.exe software to create the images.
Can anyone please help me with these issues, Thanks again!
