Web Editor UnoR4 WiFi vs UnoR4 Minima

I have both the Uno R4 Wi-Fi and the Uno R4 minima. The web editor will load the bling sketch onto the minima, but not the Wi-Fi. The web editor claims that it cannot find the USB port. I've tried both the web editor and the Arduino IDE. The IDE works just fine. Thou, the Uno R4 Wi-Fi has a very strange USB port designation. The normal port designation on my Mac is typically a number like 413401, the R4 WiFi is DC5475C40C402. Very strange. No other board has had a designation like that.
Nor can I load an IoT sketch onto the Uno R4 WiFi for the same reason. It cannot find the USB port. I have to wonder if it's the Wi-Fi board.

What you describe is weird indeed.
Are you still experiencing the issue?

I'm happy to say I can connect with the board now. I feel a little stupid to say, it was the cable. I still don't understand why it worked with the IDE, but not the web editor. But everything is working fine now. It's a lesson to learn, some USB-C cable's are better than others. Invest in quality cables, that's what I did.

Hey! That's great to know.

Cables are indeed a source of issues. Unfortunately, the quality of many of them is not that good...
