Web enabled GPS Bus status notifier

Hey everyone, I have a new project to show off (well like 6-9 months old, but Im finally publishing it). Its basically a web client that accesses a page which has the locations of all the busses in my city from GPS. It parses the data for the bus Im interested in and gives notifies me of its status: far away, near me, or "coming at me so get off your tail and head out the door"! It is completely standalone, aka no computer/server side code. Just an arduino nano, wiznet module, usb power supply, some leds, a piezo and lots of wire. Also, for when Im away on campus, I can check the location of my busses via a simple (and free) text to the twitter page it posts locations to every so often.

Check it all out here:

This is my most used and tested project by far. Its been running steady for ~6 months now, and makes my life (and my roommates) so much easier.

Your wiring scares me  But that's one cool and useful project!

It looks like you have the ethernet board dangling above the breadboard, is it possible to plug it onto the breadboard?

I don't have Ethernet for my Arduino yet, and at $22 that board maybe the cheapest one. Did you find anything that you wished you could do but the board can't do?

Yea, the wiring is pretty scary. Ive never owned a diecimila or the like type board. To be honest I dont really like them. I like the ones that plug directly into a breadboard. Its not as bad as it looks tho, I promise. Some female to female or female to male jumper wires and a 3.3v reg is all you need to connect any arduino to an ethernet module for much cheaper than the shield. Plus I plan on eventually making a pcb for the project so itll be easier to plug in then.

And the only other thing I had thought about doing with this project that didnt end up getting done was to get a cell phone module to directly send texts, but i decided twitter worked just as well at a LOT cheaper
