Is it possible to set up a webcam to motion detect on a bird feeder with arduino? Looking to have it solar powered with an SD card to store pics on.

No hope. I used to do it with a full blown computer (1 Ghz pentium 3 with 256Mb of ram) and it would sweat, since an arduino is several orders of magnitude less powerful (8 bit vs 32bit, 16mhz vs 1000 mhz,2k ram vs 256mb). Its a non starter, thats before you start on the complexities of hooking a web cam to an arduino.
Much easier to use the arduino as the trigger for a cheap digital camera, rather than the processor for it. Many great examples on the interwebs.
