WebUSB and MKR1000 difficulties

Hello!

I'd like to try the Tiny Sorter Project from Google AI Experiments. The original project uses Leonardo, but I have the MKR1000.
So I started with the WebUSB demo example from GitHub - webusb/arduino: WebUSB demos running on Arduino (and compatible) hardware. and of course changed to USB version 2.1.
The Chrome browser message is "No compatible devices found."

Anybody got WebUSB and MKR1000 working?
Chrome is version 79, Win 10 and IDE is 1.8.10

I've installed WebUSB + MKR1000 on MacOS today and it worked right out of the box. So, that's good news, because it means I can start next week with Google's Tiny Sorter AI Experiment.
I spent quite some time on Windows 10, trying to get WebUSB to work, but failed. It annoys me, but what can you do.
