Weight sensor

Hello,

This is my First message in this forum  .

I have alot of experience in SW programing , but I am new in the world of MCU (arduino) .

I want to build project that measere the weight of powder (fertilizer like flour).
So I need accurate weight measere sensor

Senesor SPEC:

  1. range between 0-1Kg (can be more then 1 Kg)
  2. accuracy +/-2g
  3. Need to by cheap and reliable as possible.

Thanks.

Do you know how scales are built?

If not you need to learn about load cells, strain gauges, wheatstone bridges - that's generic weight sensing knowledge.
Easiest way to interface with a wheatstone bridge from arduino is using an HX711 circuit board. You'll find plenty examples by googling "hx711 arduino"

I see two approaches for your project, you either buy a scale that fits your precision & range requirements and hack it, by interfacing your hx711 to its load cell(s) or you buy load cells that fit your range and assemble it in your own-made scale.
