Weight Sensor

Hello everyone I am doing a project where I need to weigh 7 things at the same time and add the weights together the weight of each item will be between 0 and 600g I need the reading to be accurate to at worst + or – 0.5g

First question and the arduino do this

Second question if so can anyone tell me where can I get the sensors from

Thanks Dave

Scales like below might be hackable.

Why not just put all 7 things on the same scale?

Why not just put all 7 things on the same scale?

That is a joke ??????

Why would it be?

If you have 7 things weighing 50g, if you weigh them individually, you'll get 350g. If you weigh them together, you'll get.. 350g!

It'd only matter if you needed the individual weights - but then you could weigh each item individually, or have 7 scales and weigh each of them - but with 6 ADC inputs I'm not sure how you will weigh 7 items!

thay can not be put together

You can do soft analog on digital pins, look it up.

You could make your own scales ... there's a whole project on its own.

An Arduino Mega would give you 16 analog inputs with zero fuss. You only get 10 bit resolution with the analog reads so 600g +/- .5g is cutting it pretty close.

Here's a good example of interfacing an Arduino with a load cell: http://cerulean.dk/words/?page_id=42

zoomkat offered a few links to scales that could have their load cells removed and repurposed.

Thanks Chagrin that look like it

This one is useable
