Wemos D1 mini recognizable only with reset button pressed

Hi. I am using ESP8266 based board, Wemos D1 mini. The problem is that for some reason my board is recognized by the computer only when the RESET button is pressed, which makes uploading program impossible. Everything worked properly before, but then changed (don't know why). What I did:
-made sure USB connections are ok
-made sure i have correct driver CH340 installed (CH341SER to be exact)
-made sure my USB cable supports not only power delivery but also transmission
-tried uploading to board while pressing the RESET button so that it is recognizable during the process, but for obvious reasons this didin't work.

Any ideas on how to bring my board back to normal? It can't be used in its current state.

that means that the esp8266 disturbs the CH340. maybe with a sketch which prints all the time.
put the esp8266 into flashing mode by wiring D2 to Gnd and then try to upload
