Wemos D1 R2

Hi Arduino gurus

I just bought my first Arduino board Wemos D1 R2. When i plug it in, the Web Editor says "Board at COM3". But, what board should i select? I can not see a board called Wemos D1 R2 in the dropdown list.

Have you installed the boards package for the ESP's

Its NOT an Arduino you have.

You need to copy and paste this into the "additional boards manager" Then restart the IDE.
You may have to then go back into board manager to finish the install.
Just type ESP into the search box in board manager...you should have new options.

EDIT

You cannot use ESP's with CREATE only the desktop IDE !

You might be better with a UNO if you are starting out
