What arduino for this?

Hi!
I am new to arduino, I just bought the starter-kit for 79€ and I see the list of different arduinos but to be honest, I dont know which could handle what.

So I am studying architecture and I am thinking that arduino might be a good fit for environmental control. I want to have a temperature sensor and depending on the temp, it will open/close a grill. Nothing more, nothing less. Preferably it would be cool if the arduino could control 2-3 grills in the same room so I dont need to have more wires + I can save money.

What would be the cheapest arduino to handle something like that?

A Uno is the obvious choice for this, particularly as that is likely to be included in the starter kit. The truth is though that, while Arduino is a good fit for environmental control, I'm sure you don't actually need one to do what you want.
