What are the actual conditions for a new user to reach more than basic user?

I'm supporting a new user. The user send me a PM that he is not allowed to post anymore for the next 13 hours.

For posting multiple postings in a short time, the new member has to get to Discourse trust level one on the forum, which is a pretty trivial matter:

Get to trust level 1 by…

  • reading at least 5 topics

  • Reading at least 30 posts

  • Spend a total of 10 minutes reading posts

So what does it take a new user to post more than 10 posts?

What Trust level is the user at currently ?

Bear in mind that a change of Trust level may not happen immediately as it is my understanding that such things are handled by periodic housekeeping tasks carried out by the Discourse software
