What are your favorite linear LiPo charging IC's?

I've been using the MAX1555/MAX1551 - I'm looking for a decent, low cost IC to use for charging a small LiPo battery from a 5v supply, preferably in SOT-23-5 or SOT-23-6 package, or SOIC-8. I don't want to have to deal with the tighter design constraints of a switching supply, so I'd like to stick to linear designs (which I realize limits the charging speed)

Does anyone have any parts they can recommend that might be better? There are so damned many charging IC's, it's hard to know which ones to focus on.

Have you looked at the MCP73831 or MCP73833?

I came across them in Adafruit boards.
