Hi

I want to make a projekt where i can control an antenna signal with my arduino.
so I want to make an signal switch.

but what do i need to this projekt to switch between the signals.

I can't as far as I see use an ordinary relay, because I can't mix power and signal.

What you mean by controlling the antenna signal? Just switching on and off? what voltage and current you are going to control?

Your question is not clear at all, you need to describe what goal you are trying to achieve rather than the specific problem you are encountering/trying to solve.

Do you want to connect an antenna to two different receivers? What type of antenna/signal are you trying to connect (TV, SAT, FM, ...?).

It is a tv signal i want to control.

I would like to be able to turn it on and of.

I'm going to use the arduino with 9v battery, and the arduino will be connectet to the internet, so i can control it from my laptop.

Are we talking about VHF and UHF signal/antenna?

Hi, if you want to just supply two TV, just use a distribution amp, both TVs will be fed at once then, no need to do any switching.

as far as I know the digitale signals from the tv Company is about 342 MHz.
så i has to be UHF.

but is this important ?
In my mind it is only the coax cable that is either has contact or not.

But i'm looking forward to hear your idear :slight_smile:

But in denmark we also have analog televisiton - so the cable is used both for UHF and VHF signals

Hi, if I was asked to make this, I would be asking why, where and to what end.
There may be a simpler solution, like switching your TV off.

Well you had better go straight back to your friend and have him explain why he wants to do this and more to the point, exactly what it is he wants to do.

Otherwise he is wasting both our time and yours!
