What does INT() do here?

No, I'm asking - where do you explicitly set those bits? Because somehow you have to, if you're to read more than 256 addresses.
Never mind, I see they're stripped from the passed address and added to the control byte in post #1. So an 8 bit address goes out on the wire.
So, back to @gfvalvo's reply in message #13. Because it doesn't matter.
