What does the pins DTR, RTS, CTS, DCD, ADC and VRTC

Dear all,

I am working with a GPS/GRPS module and I am a beginer with the terminalogy.

There are some pin:
TXD, RXD, DTR, RTS, CTS, DCD, ADC and VRTC

I know what does TXD and RXD but I have no idea about the other.

Could tel me for what it's used DTR, RTS, CTS, DCD, ADC and VRTC?

Those lines are used for handshake control.See this

ADC and VRTC?

I don't know what module you are using but I'd say ADC is an input to an on-board ADC and VRTC is the battery backup voltage input for the RTC.

The other ones are as Hugo said.
