What ever happened about the BS regarding the use of Master / Slave

I just read a post there the poster used the term "slave" to refer to the receiving device. It made me recall the uproar about the use of "master" and "slave" in technical situations (or maybe BDSM I don't recall  ).

It seems that was a flash in the pan by a bunch of folks who wanted to control how others used words that they associated with people being slaves.

So do we just have to live long enough for these A__H___s to move on to the next craze?

Or maybe they have moved on the banning books.

There is a complete topic about the renaming: What sort of Woke nonsense is this?.

That's hilarious given the book burners were the slave owners.

Not so flash in the pan. If you look at the documentation for the Arduino Nano ESP 32, you will see Messrs Karl Söderby & Jacob Hylén are still hammering it.
At https://docs.arduino.cc/tutorials/nano-esp32/cheat-sheet/

They have this table

So sad

Apparently Adafruit came up with a solution I proposed in my original thread of keeping the same initials but giving them diffrent words.

"Main In System Out" and "Main Out System In"
