PaulS has not posted since the end of July. Does anyone know why?
Was he banned? Did he die? Is he very ill or incapacitated? Did he move off the grid? Did he have a character transformation and decided to do something else in life?
He was given a holiday for being naughty repeatedly and seems to have given up on us.
He has some sock puppets seemingly so he may be under a false name.

I almost always found the advice he gave others to be A1, although I imagine that the manner of delivery could be somewhat trauma inducing for those recipients, unused to his unique style.

Yep he came back after his break and started with his usual abuse.
He is not "banned" just permanently "muted" 
Am sure he has a sock puppet going which is his usual m.o.
But he finds it impossible to keep his abuse out so that will eventually be found and deleted.
If he could keep his abuse seperate from his advice things would be great.

Taken the unusual step of actually deleting his account but leaving his posts for posterity only.
Not too often I publicly announce these sorts of things but we still get reports so hopefully people will see that he is no longer a member and stop reporting the crud.
From memory, his last posts were very civilised and more than acceptable.
I have also have seen a few posts where people seem to be referring to older posts when they complain in the forum; obviously no idea about report to "moderator" to moderators.
I am uncomfortable about this public discussion of a particular Forum member (or ex-member).
May I suggest that this Thread be deleted.

He was moderated on at least 8 of his last posts that I know of and probably more from other moderators.
Hardly civilised more like his old abusive self.
IIRC it took him less than two weeks to revert to the Pauls that people dont like.
The "report to moderator" is often used as a "REPLY" button by some noobs.
And more often as a "hurt feeling" too without any real reason.

Definitely not. That would be even worse.
It is perfectly in order for a Moderator to make decisions about Posts that a member makes, and, ultimately to remove the person's membership.
But I think the person should also be entitled to some privacy - especially if he is not able to speak in his own defence.
If you don't feel inclined to delete the entire Thread then maybe delete everything after your Reply #1 which said all that needs to be said.
