Hello, I bought a analog UV sensor and at first, it worked but now if I upload the code for reading analog data, and connect the sensor I get mirrored ???????... on my serial monitor. Anyone knows what this means?
(I connected vcc on 5 volt, gnd on gnd and out in analog 0)
Welcome to the forum.
Sounds like you use a Arduino with a hardware UART connected to a USB chip and the baud rate is not set correctly. Make sure you use the same in Serial.begin and the Serial Monitor setting.
Please read the following post if that does not fix your issue.
First of all, thanks to answer so quickly, (it’s for a school project and I don’t have so much time to finish it) now that I changed de baud rate it works, but I’m in a dark room with only some small lamps on and my pc monitor of course. Still did I get around 1.40 volts out of the UV sensor. Is this normal?
Nobody can truly say, without looking at your schematic and knowing the details of the sensor. Did you not try blocking the light from the environment?
Try covering the sensor with a thick book. Or go outside.
