What kind of resistors and where to put them on a 5v 4 channel relay

Hi All,

I've got a sainsmart 5v 4 channel relay which I've managed to get working by hooking the 5v power supply directly from the arduino to the VCC pin on the relay board, the ground going straight from gnd on relay board to gnd on arduino and then running the blink program using pin 31 to the IN1 pin on the relay board however im sure i should be running some kind of resistors between something here but i just don't know enough about electronics yet to know how much, where and why?

Thanks in advance

No need for resistors. The transistors on the Sainsmart board take care of the current requirements of the relays. ust hook digital output pins to the IN pins of the relay board to control the relays.
