What kind of switch do I need?

I'm looking to create an artwork that incorporates audio from two outputs. One channel through headphones and the other through a speaker. I'd like for a short wav file to play several seconds after the headphone are placed back onto a custom mount. On the mount I'd like for there to be a switch that triggers the sound as it feels the weight of the headphones by the connecting band.

Should I use a lever switch? What kind should I look out for?

Although I would also consider an infra red beam break switch instead of a mechanical switch because it could be more reliable.

FYI, if you go with a mechanical switch like in @6v6gt's image above, there is a wide variety of actuating arms to choose from - https://www.digikey.com/products/en/switches/snap-action-limit-switches/198?k=lever%20switch.

You can even get mounting accessories - https://www.digikey.com/catalog/en/partgroup/accessories-hardware-tools-and-mounting/36142.
