What screw do I need in this case?

Hi, I need advice in screw selection. The motor I got came with Wrench But M2.5 x 6 mm screws. The length of the screw from the base of the head to the end of the screw is 4 mm. I inserted the screw into the hole and there is a one mm gap between the base of the screw head and the surface of the motor. If I replace the Wrench Bolt screw with a flat head countersunk one, what screw do I need? I plan to use the screw to fix a bracket to the motor. The bracket is 2 mm thick with countersunk hole (90 degrees chamfer angles) so that when screwed in, the head of the screw gets embedded to the bracket to form a flat surface.

Is this a joke for April 1?

How many threads do you need to have engaged in the hole to hold your bracket? From that knowledge, you can compute the length of screw you need.

A hacksaw and a file can be used when a machine screw is too long. Tedious and you need a metal vice to hold
the thing, but doable.

Screw selection is not necessary i think,

it's up to your mechanical design, it's related to the motor rotation = screw pitch.

cheers,
niel.

Depends on the angle of the dangle between the pitch of the hitch.
