What sensor can i use to detect dropping of fruit

Hi, am asking what sensor can I use to detect the dropping of a fruit for example a palm oil loose fruit, motion PIR sensor cant be used because it need to detect the heat so anyone got any idea on which sensor can i use.

Do some research to use a camera.

Or a grid of ground microphones.

put a funnel net at the base of the tree and let the fruit roll into the centre opening then use your imagination

Perhaps a Microwave motion sensor would do the thing, a test will need to be done.

SO MUCH more information is needed! Is the fruit dropping from a tree, a bush, from a table, from someone's hand, from an animal's mouth? How often to they drop? Does more than one fruit drop at a time? What does heat have to do with dropping? Where does the fruit go if it drops? To the ground, to a tray, to a bucket?
