Not really an electronics component but this still seemed like the most relevant place:
I've looked and looked but just cannot find a precise name for this type of connector or a place to buy them. They're a kind of snap connector, at least that's what I call them and a google image search will passingly show them. I have these antistatic wristbands as in the picture but want to build my own cables to attach to them. The existing snaps have much too fragile cables and the snaps themselves are cast in hard plastic. Unable to repurpose for my means, as far as I can tell.
Most connectors I'll find - if I find them at all - are prefabs with some cable attached but I just want the connector. Finding it hard to nail a correct search on the likes of Mouser, Digikey, Farnell, etc.
Who knows what these are called and where to order (or what kind of shop carries them)? Thanks!
