What type of display is this and how do I fix it? (9999 in 1)

So I was messing around with a portable game player called 9999 in 1. I had opened it last week and messed around a lot with it and today the display simply came off. I didn't force it or anything like that. I don't know what type of display it is and how to reconnect it. Looking at it I can't find any contacts and wires or anything and nothing to screw or attach. It only works when pressure is applied down to it. If I place it more or less where it used to be a put pressure down on it while the game is on, the screen works, but it's not displaying the right things, most likely because I'm not positioning it 100% right. Also the screen coming off has made the sound not work anymore. Thanks

Correct.

Look up "Zebra Strip". The connections on the LCD panel itself are almost invisible.

This has nothing to do with Arduino!

(But that's OK. :grinning: )

Thanks. It's just that I didn't know where to post and this is part of my Arduino project. I guess I need to get it in the right place and use tape or some other adhesive.

Clean the zebra strips and PCB with alcohol to remove all traces of finger grease, then place the LCD back in the case and screw down the PCB and it will work again. There is no mechanism in the Zebra-strip that will keep the LCD-glass in place on the PCB - it's just a side effect that it sticks when it has been pressed hard together for a long time.
