I am looking for a new Company Name and would be happy about your Ideas.
Since 2004 we are at Mobile Phone Business (Service, Sale) and have our Brand "semaf" for that. As we started at the beginning of this year to resell Arduino Products we want to create a second Company Name which covers Mobile Phone and Arduino Stuff.
I would be happy if you share your Ideas what you would choose as Company Name?
Thanks for replys.

its 2013, no one really cares anymore, price + shipping + speed is all that matters
You are right but I can't and won't use a Name just to sell faster. In Austria is Microcontrolling in the Child Years. I am the only one in the City who imports from different Companies like Arduino, Sparkfun, etc.. Means I will sell more locally than only Online.
If your plan is to be international the the name itself does not need to be too meaningful but be careful how things translate into other languages. Some Japanese brands seem to translate into things that are really not legal in English.
Well, it's not easy to come up with a company name.
You'd have to think about what you want your name to tell (if anything).
Some of the previous answers already had a reference to your location, do you need that in your name ?
Do you need references to the product range you have or are planning right now, and what if that changes ?
Would you like the persons who founded the company be in the name ?
When we started our business, we had to think about the name (as everybody else who starts his own business).
In the end we came up with some reference to our location (but only a few that are not from the town we're at would recognize it), and this happens to be a word that has a double meaning that fits our company.
The second word of the name references to our clients or general business field.
You could also go for some name that has nothing to do with what you do or location.
Like some fruit name companies that are into electronics and computers (who of you thought of Apricot just now ?).
Those are names everybody already knows and that might be easy to remember.
If you are going to be active in Austria only, you might come up with a word in German.
If you'll be international active, English seems logical.
Then reference to your location and local might come up with something starting with Ö or Oe, and international would then be Au or better At (to prevent people might think you're in Australia).
Again, it's hard to come up with a good name.
Asking relative strangers for such a name will hardly be helpful, but who knows..
With "Big Data" getting a lot of buzz these days, I thought a good name for a microcontroller-oriented business would be "Small Data". I guess that was too obvious, it seems to be taken already (at least a lot of the likely domain names are).
I kinda like the "Small Data" name though. That sounds fun.
EDIT: Also, when you start shopping for URLs, remember that people are lazy and suck at spelling. I used to run a couple of gaming clans, after creating a unique name that wasn't taken, I discovered that no one could spell it. The next clan went with "jagged" a simple dictionary word. I still ended up having to buy jaged as well though.
Think about who your customers will be, and don't make my mistake
I make wireless remote scoreboards, and all the obvious names were taken, so I went for "Scorebauds " , as in baud rate.
Perfectly clear to all my electronic pals, but they don't buy scoreboards, schools and sports clubs do !
They all sound puzzled when I spell it, and when I try to explain as in baud rate, it might as well refer to how quick they are getting bored
The other common mistake is using ones initials ( yes, I had JS Electronics many years back, been there done that ) - with all the combinations of 26 letters they don't remember unless your initials are BMW or similar !
How about Wieno, Wuino or Uino (Vienna in German is "Wien" and sounds like -uin in Arduino) ?
I would register both if the choice was with either one of these.
