Hi
I'm trying to use an Opla IoT kit (MKR WiFi 1010 + IoT Carrier) on an M1 MacBook Air running Big Sur 11.2.3.
I've just started work on my Opla kit and I am unable to associate the board with the IoT cloud.
I understand this is due to an incompatibility with Create Agent and M1 Macs running Big Sur and we are directed to the GitHub page for updates, but as far as I can tell there has been no update since 26th January.
This is a critical error as I'm dead in the water unless I can associate a device.
I've tried Create Agent 1.2.0-rc4 and 1.2.1, both installations fail with "Problem running post-install step. Installation may not". I presume the error message is missing the word "work".
The MKR WiFi 1010 is operating fine under both Arduino IDE 1.8.13 and Arduino IDE 2.0.0-beta 3.
Is there a workaround for the CreateAgent problem to allow the Arduino board to be associated? Can I develop for the ArduinoIoT Cloud without first associating a device?
Failing this, can someone from the Arduino team provide an updated roadmap for when M1 Macs will be supported? They've been the Mac of choice now for almost 5 months.
If I've missed something and this is not working through my errors please accept my apologies.

I have now informed the Arduino Create Agent developers about this incomplete error message. Thanks for reporting it.

Here is what I know about it:
Serial discovery should be working now on the M1 (still missing the tools)
So the Arduino Create Agent itself should now be compatible with M1. The "tools" Umberto mentioned is referring to the bossac tool used by the agent to upload to your MKR WiFi 1010 board.
If you would like to try out the pre-release version of Arduino Create Agent with the M1 support (1.2.2-rc2), you can follow the "Agent Beta Program" instructions here:
If you do, please let us know what your results were.
