When did 'bugs' become 'glitches'

I grew up with bugs, buggy code...

Now people use glitch, fixed the glitch... um a glitch is a few screwed up frames in an avi/mp4.

So if my code goes funny, am I fixing a bug or a glitch?

They are different.

Bug causes software to malfunction.

Glitch is an unwanted effect on the software but doesn't has negative effect (when inside a videogame, if you can go through a wall, this is a glitch).

Check wikipedia definition of "glitch".

About ten minutes into "Robocop".

Not bugs - undocumented features 8)

AWOL:
About ten minutes into "Robocop".

Fun glitch. Sometimes extreme violence is entertaining if the person getting violated is an extreme asswipe.

About same time "shell shock " became "posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)".
