When I'm uploading my sketch an error appears and i don't understand why

I'm using and arduino duemilanove.

I'm using and arduino duemilanove.

Are you certain your board is the Duemilanove? I ask because that board has been retired for a long time and it is very rare to see them in use by the Arduino community these days.

This is what the Duemilanove looks like:

It is sometimes confused with the more common Due since they have similar names.
