Where did all my memory go?

@westfw

You said I should only need to find the directory once, to put it in my path. And how do I add it to my path? 25 years ago, I would have edited the .cshrc file to add it, but I have no idea what file I would edit in OS X to accomplish this. But it is not the C-shell, but the Bourne-Again Shell, and I have no idea where it keeps its stuff. Or, even necessarily, the syntax it keeps it in. bsh was a horror we all tried to avoid; I remember it from the days of the PDP-11, back in 1975. But bash is something else again. Perhaps if I had ever used bsh, I might have a chance, but I haven't seen it since I was grossed out by it back in 1975, and what I knew of it has decayed in 40 years. Or, as I prefer to think of it, "composted".
