Where is the copy for forum function?

So as the performance-problems seem to be solved I wanted to start using the new IDE 2.0
maybe I have tomatos on my eyes but I ca't find the right-click copy for forum-option

Is it simply not implemented yet? Do the developper think it is not nescessary?

best regards Stefan

Hi @StefanL38. You are correct that Arduino IDE 2.x does not have the "Copy for Forum" context menu item that is present in Arduino IDE 1.x. You are welcome to submit an issue on GitHub to request its addition. I just did a search for existing requests and didn't find any.

For now, please use the Edit > Copy for Forum (Markdown) menu item for this purpose.

My impression is that, even though some more advanced users might find that path to the feature less convenient, for the purposes of requesting beginners to provide code here on the forum, it is actually better due to being more simple. Apple mice don't have a right button, so you would need to provide an alternative variant of the instructions for those users to access the context menu. Due to the disappointing decrease in computer literacy over the last couple decades, some users might not even be familiar with the concept of a "right click", whereas I think selecting things from menus is fairly intuitive even for those who have mostly only used mobile devices.

Alexa! "Select context menu at mouse pointer..."
