I noticed something about the Arduino Store USA page- you can't buy a UNO! :o How do I get a UNO without paying $18 for shipping? 
Buy it elsewhere like Modern Device in Rhode Island.
They have reasonable prices and sometimes free shipping on weekends.
And then I can donate what I saved to arduino.cc
