I'm looking to increase the number of analog inputs I have for my arduino and I have found a few references to the 4051 analog multiplexer. What company can I email to get a free sample or if anyone knows of a cheap surplus link let me know.

4051 4052 4053 are different multiplexer layouts (1x8, 2x4, 4x2). They are standard parts for many many years and surplus is improbable...
If you have the choice take the 74HC405N types..

It is unlikely that any one will give you a free sample of such a basic chip.
Samples only tend to be available for new complex chips that they are trying to build a market for.
