Where to buy piezo transducer in Australia?

Hi,

I want to detect whether my microwave oven is in use or not by detecting the vibration. I plan to use piezo element like in the knock tutorial:

Two questions:

  1. Where can I buy piezo transducer in Australia. I've searched online but couldn't find any online store in Australia that sell something like this:
  1. Do you think the Knock tutorial will be able to detect microwave oven vibration? Or the vibration when water boils in my electric kettle (I plan to put the piezo on the base of the kettle where it is not hot)

Please give some advice before I start ordering stuffs from overseas and make a costly mistake (like I did for my previous project). Your help is much appreciated.

dicksmith , jaycar , littlebird electronics all have them

Don't know if a piezo tranducer would work , shouldn't be more than $5 at the very most so cheap enough to try

A current transformer would definitely work but would be a good bit more expensive
