Just purchased Arduino Uno and inside the box it says logon to arduino.org and follow the instructions. Eventually I found this site as arduino.org does not seem to exist. But I cannot find instructions on this site for Uno model.
Can anyone advise me how to begin?

Up there, on the bar at the top, it says "Download".
That's a good place to start.
I googled "Arduino getting started" and got loads starting with this, and for Windows users this, then there is this guide here.
Have you heard of google? It's a search engine for finding things. They are new, the first one I came across was in 1995.
